Lancome has always been and I feel like will always be one of my favorite higher end make up brands to shop at. The quality of their products is unquestionable, and their design concepts and new releases are just beautiful.
One of my recent, and favorite purchases from them is their infamous Color Design 5 Shadow & Liner Palette in the color Smoldering Gold. And I picked this palette up mainly for the Holiday season.
As you can see from the color scheme, you have the amazing golds, taupes, and greens that is perfect for Holiday themed makeup that is still classic and chic.
This is one of their limited edition palettes for the holiday season, as you can see from the Swaovski stone jewels embellished on the compact.
The palette is an all in one palette, everything you need to create a beautiful look for day or night. The texture of the shadows are just amazing and the impact of the colors are just beautiful.
You have everything you need, from all over lid color, to crease color, to highlighter, to a liner, to create that perfect eye that will catch everyone’s attention. I find that the colors are true to color from pan to swatch, and that although it might look shimmery in the palette, once applied with a primer, you’ll love the turn out.
I love that they added the greenish taupe color for a more classic look that doesn’t scream Christmas (making it very wearable but still special when you pair it with the shimmery green or classic gold). I’ll definitely be rocking these colors out for the Holiday festivities.
