Zoya Blu

Spring is here! Well technically it is here but we still have a few cold days during the week here in the city.  I love embracing the Spring season with my nail polish choices, and for the week I went with one of my favorite Zoya polishes, Blu.

Zoya makes some of the best creamy polishes, and Blu is the perfect milky blue polish (actually reminds me of the brother version of Essie's Fiji, which is also my favorite).  It's opaque in one to two coats and applies even easier than Essie's Fiji.  I love how this looks on shorter manicures and think this is one of the colors that should be added to any Easter polish look.  This definitely makes me look forward to warmer weather and more sunshine to come.

Slim Sonic Toothbrush

One thing I always make sure to have with me in my bag, is a travel size toothbrush.  Yes, this is an absolute must for me! With long days and multiple meals, I can't stand the idea of waiting until going home to brush up (also you never know when you end up spending the night at a friend's place).

I usually just went for the regular ones you find in the drugstore in their travel section.  However, when I came across this Slim Sonic Toothbrush at Ulta (also found in their travel section in the check out line), I thought it was perfect! It's a sonic toothbrush so it runs on a battery and vibrates, and it comes with an extra brush head (always great).  What I loved most about it was the packaging.  It has a built in case, making it very portable and hygienic.

I take this bad boy with me every where and it fits in almost every mag/clutch that I own.

OPI The Thrill Of Brazil

Continuing with my latest obsession with red polishes, I decided to bring out another OPI favorite of mine, The Thrill Of Brazil.  Now don't confuse this polish with their latest Brazil collection.  The Thrill of Brazil was released Spring/Summer 2013.

Although I haven't had the chance to take a look at their new Brazil collection, I thought it'd be nice to play along and rock this shade with their latest release.  The Thrill of Brazil is a beautiful, bright cherry red that just makes me happy every time I wear it.  This specific shade works on the more fair to medium shade skin tones, but all in all is still quite gorgeous.

Tree Hut Body Scrub

Spring is just around the corner, and that means it'll be time for cute dresses.  Now is the time of the year I try to take better care of my legs, which includes moisturizing and exfoliating more often.  I shave my legs about once a week, so it really dulls out my skin.  Pampering them a bit more makes them look healthier, and ready for some sunshine.

On my last Ulta trip, I raided their travel section (it always gets me before checkout!) and came across this body scrub by Tree Hut.  I have never heard of the brand, however the Coconut Lime scent sold me immediately!

The went home and immediately jumped into the shower to give this a try on my legs.  The texture and consistency of the scrub is a gel like formula, which I really love because it feels incredibly hydrating.  The mini exfoliating beads are large enough to scrub off any dead skin cells on the surface, but they aren't too abrasive.  And again, I cannot get over how great it smells! This just left my legs looking incredibly healthy and ready for the warm weather and cute dresses.  Definitely going to have to go back for the bigger size to include into my shower routine.

OPI Quarter Of A Cent-Cherry

The classic red, my very first red polish ever, is OPI's Quarter Of A Cent-Cherry.  This is one of the most beautiful red polishes I have ever seen from any nail polish brand, and I've gone through about 3 bottles of this shade ever since I started getting into beauty products.

Quarter Of A Cent-Cherry is a classic, true cherry red that just goes beautifully with any skin tone.  It applies smoothly and is opaque in 1-2 coats.  And the shine on the finish is just gorgeous! I have recently become obsessed with this color again and I am loving it!  I've also had a few people (including men) compliment me on my nail color while wearing OPI's Quarter Of A Cent-Cherry, which just confirms how amazing it is!

Ulta Haul

I've been running pretty low on some of my drugstore favorites, so with Ulta having a promotion with their drugstore cosmetics (which goes through March 15th) I decided this would be the perfect time to stock up on my daily favorites.

Maybelline Age Rewind Eraser (!50 Neutralizer)
L'Oreal Lineur Intense (690 Carbon Black)
L'Oreal Magic Nude liquid Powder Foundation (316 Nude Beige)
Urban Decay Triple Threat Travel Set (Perversion, Smoke, Sabbath)
Bliss Fabulous Foaming Face Wash
Tree Hut Shea Sugar Body Scrub (Coconut Lime)
Go Smile Whitening On The Go Pen
Slim The Stylish Sonic Toothbrush

The Maybelline Concealer, along with the L'Oreal Liner and Foundation are my absolutely daily makeup routine favorites from the drugstore.  I will always plan on repurchasing these and always find that looking for them on promotion just makes them all the better!

I walked in planning on picking up the L'Oreal and Maybelline products, but of course I walked past the travel section and had to add some more items to my purchase! However, being a member of their point system, I had saved up enough to use a $50 credit towards my purchase (and paired that with their online coupon).  So I'd have to say I did pretty well this time around!

Schick Quattro Trim Style Razor

Bikini lines, definitely not a subject mentioned often, but also a very important topic (in my opinion).  I already have summer on my brain, but keeping things trimmed well is important for me year round.  I usually make an appointment for a bikini wax every 2 months or so.  However, getting 6 bikini waxes a year does take a toll on my bank account.  So I decided to try out a few other, more affordable, alternatives to keeping my bikini region groomed.

There are plenty of bikini trimmers on the market, so I decided to do a little research and came across the Schick Quattro Trim Styler.  Upon reading the reviews and description of the trimmer, I decided to give this one a try.

The Schick Quattro Trim Styler is a four blade razor, designed to be waterproof.  There are three different adjustments to the trimmer that are easily interchangeable, along with an attached razor at the other end of the trimmer.  Designed to get the closest shave, you can control how much, or how little you want to take off around your bikini area.

Now, being a person that regularly gets waxed, you can imagine I like to get a closer shave without any stubble.  I use the trimmer on the closest shave setting, trying to get a cleaner look.  The results? The trimmer works incredibly well around the sensitive areas, I have not nicked out cut myself while using it.  It's easy to use in the shower, and with the longer handle, can reach those sensitive areas really well.   It runs on a battery, which doesn't make it as strong of a razor, but it still does get the job done pretty well. I do find it as a great alternative to waxing (maybe using this in between waxes to cut down spa costs), but around the summer time I probably would splurge more for a wax.

For anyone not willing to experience or splurge on a wax, I would definitely recommend looking into a trimmer like the Schick Quattro Trim Styler to stay groomed.  There are a few more higher end trimmers that'll I'll probably give a try in the next few months.  So keep an eye out for comparison reviews.
