Forever21 Activewear

With 2013 coming to a close and the New Year just hours away, we come closer to facing our New Years resolutions.  What's usually the first thing one everyone's list? Probably to be more active, hit the gym and workout more.  January is the month where gym memberships sky rocket because everyone has their eye on the prize, to look great on the beach come summer time.

After crossfitting for the past 4 months, I can say that living healthy and fit is definitely my lifestyle.  But you know what also helps you feel great and stay motivated? Looking cute while doing it all!

Activewear can be quite pricey, but you don't have to spend that much to look good while working out.  One of my favorite places to pick up affordable activewear is Forever21.  I usually strike out in their stores, but their online selections are great!

I picked up these cute, medium impact sport bras in an array of colors for just $8.80/bra! They fit incredibly well and are incredibly soft and comfortable.  What's also great is that they have a very thin padding that helps keeps the girls in and comfortable.  And along with the bras, I also picked up these skinny workout shorts (with side pockets, love pockets!) made out of nylon and spandex for $12.80/short.  They fit true to size, and just because they say skinny they aren't tight at all.  They are so comfortable and soft to wear, and work really well during an entire workout.

So before you go spending tons of money on the higher brand items, check out Forever21.com for items that might catch your eye (and won't drain your bank account).

Urban Decay Perversion

In the make up world, there are hundreds of black liners to choose from, all of which claim to be the blackest black.  I never understood that when I started getting into makeup.  I mean black is just black right? While in reality, not all black liners are created equal.

My holy grail black liner is the Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Waterproof liner.  It's the blackest black and longest wearing liner that I own.  However, when I received the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil in Perversion for my birthday I thought it was a great opportunity to compare the two.

Urban Decay's Perversion is formulated to be even more black than their Zero liner.  For me Zero is more of a grey black and Perversion is a true, inky black that is very comparable to the Armani liner.  Although I still prefer the waterproof formula of the Giorgio Armani liner, Perversion is a close second.  The Urban Decay Glide On Pencils wear well when set with a powder, so I don't see much transfer or smudging after 8+ hours of wear.

My thoughts? I'm enjoying the Perversion liner as an alternative for the Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill, especially since Urban Decay's liner is much more affordable.

OPI Light My Sapphire

What's my go to tone for the winter season? Navy blue. I tend to be obsessed with the winter blues because it compliments my lighter skin tone.  Any type of navy blue will work, however if it's a deep, almost black navy blue then it's at the top of my list.

OPI's Light My Sapphire is definitely great black, navy blue that I have been wearing all of December so far.  It's definitely my go to Holiday nail polish color if I'm not feeling the typical red polish.  It's a professional looking shade that applies opaque in one to two coats, and has that beautiful finish to it making a great party polish.

When paired well with a short, clean manicure, you'll get lots of compliments on your nails!

Benefit Watt's Up!

Winter is here, and it's definitely the season for highlighters.  I have an array of highlighters in my makeup collection, however Benefit's Watt's Up! is my first cream to powder highlighter.  I usually prefer powder products because I find them easier to work with (especially on my combination to oily skin), so I don't think I would have ever purchased this product on my own.  However, because Sephora is awesome, and offered this deluxe travel sized version of the Benefit's Watt's Up! as a birthday gift this year, I get to have to opportunity to test out the product.

As mentioned, Benefit's Watt's Up! is a cream to powder champagne highlighter.  It's suppose to add a luminous glow to your cheeks (and all of the other high points on your face) to really amp up your complexion.

My thoughts? The champagne tones work perfectly with my slightly warmer skin tone.  The texture and consistency of the cream highlighter is incredibly smooth and velvetly (which makes application feel like butter).

A little really goes a long way with this product.  There were a few reviews that I've read saying that the highlighter can give that oily look.  However, I find that it highlighters only look and feel oily when people tend to over apply or under blend.  Blending is key when it comes to any make up product, especially highlighters.  You want the product to look very natural and subtle.

For me, I wouldn't recommend applying the Watt's Up! highlighter straight from the tube (even though it seems like the most convenient way to apply it.  I prefer to pick some product up with my finger and tap it on the top of my cheeks and bridge of my nose.  This really warms the product up and ensures that you're not over applying.

This definitely has been one of my must have makeup products for my every day look for the colder season.  And this little deluxe sample is definitely going to go a long way.

Clarisonic Mia 2

I have been an owner of the Clarisonic Mia for well over a year now, and I can say that I absolutely cannot live without it.  The Clarisonic is a skin care tool that I use daily, and find it an important investment in my skin care routine.  And because of that, I think it makes a great Holiday gift for your close friend or family member.

Recently, Sephora had a 20% off VIB promotion, making it the perfect time to pick one of these Clarisonic Mia 2 devices for my mom.  She has been eyeing my Clarisonic Mia for a while, so I thought I'd gift her very own.

A lot of us are already well versed on the brand so I won't go too into it.  Like the original Mia, the Mia 2 is a travel friendly face brush cleanser.  The only difference between the original Mia and the Mia 2 is that the Mia 2 was designed to have two different speeds.  So, if you already own the original Mia, you don't need to run out to get the Mia 2.

What I also love was that the Mia 2 came packaged with a travel case for the device, making it extra convenient to pack into your luggage.

The Clarisonic is definitely one of the best cleansing tools on the market, and definitely makes a difference in my skin care routine.

Anyone would enjoy this luxury tool as a Holiday gift!

Urban Decay Haul

It definitely felt like Christmas came early when I came home from work today.  When I found a large package at my doorstep I hadn't an idea of what it could be.  I admit, there are times where I make orders and just forget about them.  But thats what makes the surprise even better.  But when I saw the return address was from the one and only Urban Decay I let a little shriek out for joy.

My Urban Decay Naked 3 palette had finally arrived and I couldn't be more excited!  It's true that I do own the original Naked and Naked 2 palette (along with the Naked Basics palette), however I am a Naked addict and thought that I just had to have the pink toned shadows.  I did read the reviews and looked at the swatches over and over again to be sure, but there was absolutely no question about it.

Along with the Naked 3 palette, I received a free full sized Perversion24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil because I had made the order on my birthday month.  So it was an amazing time for my to place an order on their website.

I have not dipped my brushes into the shadows yet, but I will have a post up on my impressions and swatches of the Naked 3 palette once I get to play around with them.

Brian Atwood Pumps

Like the essential Little Black Dress, I believe every girl needs the perfect pair of black pumps in her closet.  Now, these are not my only pair of black heels that I own (if you know me well you know I have a small obsession with shoes), however these are my favorite pair.

I don't always splurge on my shoes.  For me, it's more about comfort than cost and it just varies between brands.  However, for my go to black pumps I wanted them to be a nice pair made with real leather.

So when I saw these pair of black Brian Atwood pumps discounted a few months ago I just had to make them mine.  They are sky high, but with the built in platform they are still comfortable to walk in.  The leather is extremely nice and the finish is just beautiful.  It's a classic pair that I know will be wearing for a while.

Sephora Birthday Gift

During my last visit to Sephora, I was given my little birthday treat for being their VIB member.  Leave it up to Sephora to remind me that my birthday was coming up this weekend!

This is one of the reasons why I love being a Sephora VIB member.  It's not even about how much money you spend, whether you are a just a Beauty Insider, or have worked your way up to a Rouge VIB member, everyone that is signed up with their points perks program gets a gift on their birthday month.  And their gifts are usually from some of the best brands!

For 2013, the birthday gift was provided from Benefit .  And it's two of their well known products in a travel size: They're Real Mascara and Watts Up Highlighter.

What's great is that I have heard such wonderful reviews on both of these products, but I have yet to try either of them.  So this is a nice opportunity to test out these products for free!

So if you haven't yet, sign up for the Sephora Points Perks program (it's 100% free to sign up), and you'll start getting emails on deals.

OPI Chick Flick Cherry

In honor of Starbucks bringing out their Holiday red cups for the season, I decided to go red for my nails this week.  I know it's too early to be thinking about Christmas, but having my morning coffee in a red cup, surrounded by Holiday ornaments and other Christmas goodies had me in a festive mood today.

OPI makes some of the best red nail polish shades, one of them being Chick Flick Cherry.  It's the perfect blood red that isn't too deep or bright (a true red).  I have quite a few red polishes in my nail polish collection, but OPI's Chick Flick Cherry has to be one of my top favorites to wear around the Holiday season.

Like every other OPI polish, Chick Flick Cherry applies incredibly smoothly.  You can get away with one even coat, however I always like to apply two coats for longer wear.

Juice Beauty Blemish Clearing Cleanser

I am usually boring when it comes to my cleansers, because I stick to what I know works.  It took me almost a year to learn how to treat my skin in different conditions, so experimenting around with my cleansers was not something I wanted to do when I had my skin under control already.  However, on my last trip out of town, I didn't have time to pick up a travel sized bottle to transfer my cleanser into.  So what did I do? I found this deluxe sample size of the Juice Beauty Blemish Clearing Cleanser (which I had received in one of my subscription boxes) and decided to give it a go.

I was a bit nervous because trying something new on a trip was a risk I was taking.  However, I had heard a few good reviews (from The Raeviewer) about the brand.

The Juice Beauty Blemish Clearing Cleanser is a clarifying cleanser, formulated with lemon and aloe to really get a deep cleanse (removing all of the impurities and treating blemishes).  Most cleansers that claim to be blemish clearing always end up leaving my skin feeling dry and stripped.  The Juice Beauty Blemish Clearing Cleanser however was far from that.  My skin still felt supple and soft, after using it with my clarisonic (to get that deeper cleanse in my pores), and left my face feeling refreshed and hydrated.

After a whole week of using the Juice Beauty Blemish Clearing Cleanser, I can say that I've fallen in love with it! I love that it keeps my skin feel clear and refreshed while still being very gentle.  And what's even better? The full sized cleanser is about half of the price of most of the cleansers that I love.  I definitely have to get my hands on the full sized cleanser along with a few other products in the line to give a try.

I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a simple, gentle cleanser that gets the job done.

NuMe Hydrating Conditioner

I use to be subscribed to a few monthly beauty subscription boxes.  However, I've canceled all of my subscriptions a few months ago because I was accumulating so many products that I wasn't using fast enough.  Most of the items I received in the beauty subscription boxes usually end up in my travel drawer because they were deluxe sample sizes (perfect to take on the plane).

On my last trip, I took a peek into my sample drawer and found this NuMe Hydrating Conditioner sample and decided to take it along with me to give a try.

I honestly didn't think much of it, but thought the size would be convenient to use for a few days away from home.  Little did I know I immediately fell in love with it after blow drying my hair!

The NuMe Hydrating Conditioner (from their Hydro Punch line) is infused with moroccan argon oil and Seratin K-protein complex, which provides nourishment and intense moisture to the hair.  It definitely gives that smooth and silky salon finish.

After using the Hydro Punch conditioner, I found my hair very soft and smooth for not only that entire day (even with using heat styling tools), but also the day after.  I was really shocked with how well the product worked on my hair and definitely want to order myself the entire Hydro Punch line to give a try.

Fall Nail Polish Picks

My nail polish collection is a little out of control, so I've tried to keep myself from purchasing any new polishes (unless they are unlike anything that I already own).  So when looking for a fall polish, I discovered that I own quite a few nice shades for the season.

Breaking them into different brands, these are my fall nail polish picks:

Essie:
Power Clutch
Smokin' Hot
Licorice
Berry Naughty
Midnight Cami

Butter London: Mariner
Chanel: Black Pearl
Deborah Lippmann: Hit Me With Your Best Shot

OPI:
Berlin There Done That
Schnapps Out Of It!
Russian Navy
Chick Flick Cherry
Light My Sapphire
Suzi Skies In The Pyrenees
Lincoln Park At Midnight

Most of my fall nail polish picks are from Essie and OPI.  They have an amazing selection of permanent colors in their collection that work so well for the season.  If you'd like to see swatches of of of these polishes just comment below.

L'Oreal Paris Power Moisture Hair Products

If you've been following me for a while you may know that I am obsessed with my Kerastase hair products (especially my Nectar Thermique).  However, when I noticed the L'Oreal label on the bottom of my Kerastase products, I couldn't help but wonder if they were all owned by one brand.  Most higher end products have drugstore versions of their products.  So while I was at Ulta a few weeks ago, I decided to give the L'Oreal Paris shampoo/conditioner a try.

They have a few different types of shampoo/conditioners in their range, but I decided to go for the Power Moisture Shampoo/Conditioner since I have normal to dry hair.

This specific set is specifically a hydrating shampoo/conditioner, formulated to leave your hair feeling soft and shiny into the next day.

My hair can be quite picky when it comes to hair products, so I don't find myself liking drugstore shampoo/conditioners that often.  But let me tell you, the L'Oreal Paris Power Moisture products were amazing to my hair.  My hair felt incredibly soft and bouncy the entire day, even while exposing my hair to heating tools.  The products felt incredibly light, so my hair wasn't weighed down and still had that bit of volume that I like.

The products are definitely comparable to my Kerastase products.  And what's even better? They can go for around $4 a bottle! Definitely a steal!

Target Haul

One of my favorite places to check for beauty products has to be Target.  I can honestly spend hours in there; which is dangerous because that just means I'm going to be spending way too much.

On this day I specifically was searching for a few hair care products.  The first being the It's A 10 Miracle Leave In Plus Keratin.  I absolutely am in love with this leave in conditioner (which also works as a detangler).  I've already been through an entire bottle and you can almost always find these at a reduced price at Target.

The second product is a new one for me.  I've heard so many great reviews about the Macadamia Deep Repair Mask, and because I am almost out of mine I thought I'd give this a try.  I use hair repair masks on my hair about one a week, just to deep condition and really give my hair that salon look and feel.  I am definitely excited to give this a try.  Keep an eye out for my reviews on this product in a week or two.

Essie Haul

Fall is all about dark and rich nail polish, and Essie makes one of the best selection of deep nail polish shades.  I usually never buy nail polish for full price because I can find them for cheaper at a professional store.  However, when I saw these two shades at my local Target I just couldn't help myself and had to have them right then and there (talk about self control right?)

The first shade is Midnight Cami, which is a deep navy blue with a bit of a metallic finish to it.  The second shade is Berry Naughty (loving the name!) and it's the perfect berry purple.

I know I am definitely going to be enjoying these two shades over the next month.  Now the hard part is figuring out which one I want to play with first.

3.1 Phillip Lim for Target (continued)

During the release of the 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target collection, I vaguely remember waking up in the early hours of the morning and hopping online in hopes of grabbing a few items before heading out to the store.

While I was online, I was surprised to see that the server had not crashed from how popular this collection was going to be.  So I was lucky enough to get my hands on two handbags.

The first being the larger tote bag in a beautiful eggplant color.  After seeing this bag in their ad photos I knew it was going to be the one to have.  The structure and details of the bag, along with the size, makes it the perfect professional work bag for any fashionista.  I decided to gift this specific handbag to a very good friend of mine for her to rock in the work place.

The second bag was definitely one I had not seen in ads before, however thought it was very cute.  It's a medium sized satchel in black.  Like the large tote, it's designed to be a very professional looking bag.  However, it's not quite as large so it also makes a great, chic every day bag.  I definitely decided to keep this one for myself.

That wraps up the last items I picked up from the 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target collection.

L'Oreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder Foundation

It's been a few years since I've tried any of the drugstore foundations.  I've definitely become more comfortable with investing money into higher end foundations since my skin tends to be more prone to break outs.  However, after exploring the drugstore section one day, I decided to pick up the L'Oreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder Foundation, which is the newest foundation L'Oreal released this past summer.

I definitely thought the more compact packaging was cute and convenient, very reminiscent of the Chanel Aqualumiere packaging.  The formula itself is nothing like any other foundation I've tried.  L'Oreal's Magic Nude Liquid Powder Foundation was formulated to give you that no-makeup, bare look.

The liquid to powder formulation does take a bit of getting use to.  The foundation goes almost instantly from a liquid to a powder finish once buffed into the skin.  The texture is extremely lightweight, which does make it feel like you've got almost nothing on.

As for the application and wear, I feel like the L'Oreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder Foundation would suit perfectly for people with combination to oily skin.  The powder finish may look a little too patchy for anyone with drier skin.  And the best way to apply the foundation, in my opinion, is with any oversized, synthetic buffing foundation brush (i.e Sigma F88, F84, F82, F80).  Patting and buffing the foundation into the skin gives that more flawless, natural look.

Overall, I feel like this has been one of the best drugstore foundations I've ever tried.  the lightweight texture along with the light to medium coverage makes it a great everyday (and affordable) foundation option.  I wouldn't reach for this for special events where I'd have to take a lot of photos, however it's a great basic foundation to have on hand.

Kenra

One thing I am not quite experienced with is picking out new hair care products.  I have a thing for trying out new brands when it comes to picking out any shampoo or conditioner.  However, there are so many brands out there that it kind of becomes overwhelming.  So when Ulta was having their 1 liter bottle sale a few weeks ago I kind of went a little crazy trying to pick out which one to buy.

Ultimately I went with the Kenra line, which I have never tried or really even heard about.  The description of the products sounded right for my hair type and with the deal Ulta was offering (about $15 per liter bottle) it was definitely a nice way to try it out for a steal.

I have fine hair with a little bit of a natural wave to it, and it has been lightened.  So the type of shampoo and conditioner I usually go for are the more lightweight types that is volumizing.  Anything that will give my hair some body and lift.

Both of the Kenra Shampoo and Conditioner work amazingly well for me.  I was quite surprised because I didn't think it'll actually give my hair the added volume.  After a nice shower with the two products, my hair feels soft and looks incredibly healthy.  I don't even have to give it a blowdry for any volume (which really cuts down on heat damage).  The formula is quite moisturizing, leaving my hair smooth even through the second day.

The products are incredibly lightweight, and just lather wonderfully.  The only thing that bothers me about the product is that both the shampoo and conditioner smells like sweet candy.  This may not be a problem for most people though, I am just sensitive to sweeter smells.  Otherwise, I am definitely happy with the risk I took picking up full liter bottles of these at such a great price.  They'll definitely go a long way.

L'Oreal, The Old and The New

It's been a while since I've wandered around the drugstore beauty aisles, so I've definitely fallen behind on what's new these days.  However, when I found myself in need of a replacement liquid eyeliner I knew I couldn't put it off any longer.

Of course I wanted to pick up my old favorte, the L'Oreal Lineur Intense Liquid Liner as my replacement liner.  I've been using the L'Oreal liquid eyeliner for years now and I cannot see myself loving anything else.  Nothing's more intense in color, and the felt tip applicator cannot be any easier to use.  A great liquid liner for beginners and makeup experts.

And, as I was picking up my liner, I came across the display for the new L'Oreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder foundation.  I recognized the bottle from a few reviews and blog posts I've come across online, and because I remembered hearing a few good comments about the foundation I decided to give it a go.  But I cannot lie, the cute packaging was also another bonus about picking up the foundation.

It's definitely been a long while, a little over a year, since I've given a drugstore foundation a try.  They've usually not worked out so well for me.  However, because L'Oreal has been a trusted drugstore brand for me that I don't think much can go wrong.

Keep an eye out for a more comprehensive review on the L'Oreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder foundation in the next week.

OPI Nein! Nein! Nein! Ok Fine!

Now that we're breaking into the Fall season, the cooler, crisp air has be excited to wear more layers and richer colors.  One of my favorite parts of Fall are all of the darker nail polish shades.  I find deep shades of polishes to be very chic and classic, and with that I decided to start off the season with OPI's Nein! Nein! Nein! Ok Fine!, which was released in the OPI Germany collection.

OPI has such a great selection of deeper hues, and all of my favorite shades in their permanent collection always that black undertone color.

Nein! Nein! Nein! Ok Fine! is a simply shade of dark grey with a bit of black.  However, when you're in different lighting you can somewhat see a tad of a forest green, which makes this specific shade quite unique in my collection.

I've worn this shade for about 2 and a half weeks straight now and I am just loving everything about it (please excuse my dry cuticles in the swatch, the weather is really getting to my skin).  Of course OPI does not disappoint when it comes to the wear of their polishes.  And with the color being so dark you can get away with two thin coats, or one thicker coat, for an opaque application.

I'll be breaking into all of my other darker polishes as the weeks go on, so keep an eye out!

3.1 Phillip Lim for Target

I've definitely been slacking off when it comes to blogging, but I am definitely getting back into the game.  And with that I decided to start off with a post about the 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target line, which was released on September 15th (yesterday) morning.

I'll start off with my experience that morning as I prepared myself for an early morning and a big crowd.  I woke up at 6am and found myself online making a few handbag purchases before hitting up the actual store.  I was surprised that the server wasn't crashing since a few of the products were already made available online (I guess not everyone is a morning person).  I was quite happy with the selection that was made available online, it made it quite convenient for me.  I was able to purchase everything I wanted from the 3.1 Phillip Lim Collection on Target.com, everything except for the Mini Satchel.

The 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target Mini Satchel was definitely the most coveted handbag from the entire collection since it was one of the few products in the center of their ad for the collection.  Target had not made this item available for online purchase, so I knew I had to brace myself for a trip to Target.

Because this collection was so well advertised, and anyone into the fashion industry dreams of owning Phillip Lim products, I knew there was going to be a large crowd to overcome once I arrived at Target.  Luckily, I arrived at my nearest Target 10 minutes before they had planned on opening and found myself maybe the 25th or so person in line.  As they opened there doors the crowd literally rushed up the stairs and headed for the huge signs pointing toward the collection.  There were people grabbing hangers off the racks left and right (not even checking for appropriate sizes) and just a sea of red shopping carts all along the aisle.

Because I only had my eyes on one product, I just calmly made my way toward the handbags and snatched up the Mini Satchel in a dark taupe color.  Of course I wanted the bag in black, but because it was all sold out I thought taupe would be a great option for the Fall season.

I was quite impressed with the quality of the handbags that were made available for the collection.  The 3.1 Phillip Lim Mini Satchel was priced at a reasonable $34.99.  The mini satchel is small, but definitely makes as big of an impact as a statement bag.  It's structure is beautifully designed with the zipper accents (bringing a little edge to a formal looking bag), and the deep bag does hold quite a lot for being a mini.  I am in love with the quality of the faux leather, and the added top handles and removable straps are just two of the best features.

For being the more affordable collection from such a high end designer, Phillip Lim lived up to the quality of his work with the attention of detail put into every design.

I am definitely excited to have one of his pieces in my handbag collection, and cannot wait until I receive the rest of my Target.com order from the 3.1 Phillip Lim collection.

It's A 10 Leave-In Plus Keratin

Because my hair is so fine, I am not a huge fan of layering countless number of products on my hair.  However, aside from the usual shampoo and conditioner, one other product I apply almost daily are leave-in conditioners.  Even for having such fine hair, I can have days where I can’t seem to keep my hair under control (especially in certain weather conditions).

I switch leave-in conditioner brands every so often, because just like my shampoo and conditioner, I like to try new hair care products to see what works best.  Lately, I have been hearing great reviews about the It’s A 10 line, so when I saw this bottle on sale for about 30% off at Target I thought it was the perfect opportunity to give it a try.  I had just run out of my most beloved Kerastase Crytallyste serum, which has been one of my all time favorite hair serums for a little under 2 years now.

With the It’s A 10 leave-in conditioner, I thought purchasing the Keratin Plus bottle would be best for extra protection and nourishment.  It’s always an added bonus when any type of hair product contains keratin.   If you look at the actual product in the bottle, the consistency looks more like a cream than a light serum.  This had me a bit worried about it weighing down my hair, but I thought a little may go a long way.  It takes a few pumps to work the product up the spray bottle when working with a brand new bottle (possibly because of the thicker consistency), but once you get it going you get the perfect amount of light sprays every time.  I absolutely love that it comes in a spray bottle too because that avoids me getting my hands too greasy.

After towel drying my hair after a shower, I spray a few pumps on my hair (from my ears down to my ends) and then take my fingers to really massage the product into my hair (avoiding my roots).  You can blow dry or let your hair naturally air dry, but you’ll get the same results either way.  In the end, I can feel how soft and moisturized my ends look.  My hair still feels lightweight, like I haven’t applied any extra product to it, and I sometimes can’t resist touching it because of how soft it feels.

The It’s A 10 product works perfectly in the summer.  It can be damaging when your hair is constantly exposed to sunlight and heat, so applying this added layer of protection keeps the ends from drying out.  Now I have quite healthy look hair.

The only difference between the It’s A 10 and my Kerastase Crytallyste serum is that the Kerastase serum give my hair that added shine on top of being nourishing.  So if you want more of a shine to your hair I would go for the serum, but if you just want healthy looking hair, the It’s A 10 Plus Keratin is the perfect product.

Zoya Blu

Continuing with my love for Zoya polishes, I decided to break into one of my newer Zoya purchases for the season.  And let me tell you, I have never been so in love!

I recently picked up Zoya's Blu from my salon a few weeks ago and I cannot be any happier with the purchase.  I love that they carry Zoya polishes because it really takes out the waiting part while ordering online.  That, and seeing the polishes in person makes it easier to decide whether or not I want to actually purchase them.

I was initially attracted to Blu because it's definitely something I don't have in my collection already.  And to find a polish shade I don't already own is kind of rare when you consider how large my polish collection is.  I have been obsessed with creamy polishes, and Blu just looked like the perfect milky blue.  Blu is like the twin brother of Essie's Fiji (only in the shade blue) because they are both very creamy in formula and the milky shades are very similar.  The only thing is Blu is much easier to apply than Essie's Fiji (which is a major plus).

I wore this for most of the month of July, and it worked great while I was a wedding guest.  I received a whole bunch of compliments on the polish and it just works beautifully with any outfit (when dressed up or down).  Definitely a great Summer pick in my opinion.
