Macadamia Oil Deep Repair Masque

I cannot get enough of hair masks.  I always have at least two different brands on hand in my shower to alternate through, and I work it into my shower routine about one to two times a week.  Hair masks are especially great if you find yourself putting your hair through a lot of stress (i.e. heating tools or hair color).

Surprisingly out of all of the hair masks I've tried, I haven't had my hands on the most talked about Macadamia Oil Deep Repair Masque (until now).  The Macadamia Oil Deep Repair Masque hair masks is highly raved about in the beauty community and gets top ratings.  Formulated perfectly for dry, damaged, over worked hair, a combination of natural extracts and oils revitalizes the hair, bringing more nourishment and life back to your ends.

The products smells divine, and the thick consistency is perfect for adding all of the moisture back into your hair.  It leaves my hair feeling incredibly soft and silky, definitely salon ready hair.  After a few weeks of testing out the product, the Macadamia Oil Deep Repair Masque has quickly become my top pick for deep conditioners.

Stuart Weitzman Wildchild Bootie

Stuart Weitzman has to be one of my top five favorite shoe designers.  I am always walking around their flagship store in the city, admiring all of their designs and just wanting to add every single pair to my closet.

So, you can imagine how excited I was when I saw a promotion on the brand on Gilt.  During this transaction, I picked up this pair of the Stuart Weitzman Wildchild Bootie, which are their version of the wedged sneakers, only a bit more edgy.  The wedged heel is incredibly comfortable and stable, and at the perfect height for me.  The strappy style gives it an edgy feel, and the genuine leather in the color just makes it look and feel really expensive.

I am absolutely in love with these, and love pairing them with just a casual outfit (skinny jeans and a tee shirt) for that edged up look.

I check Gilt almost daily to see if they are featuring any my favorite designers, and usually I find something about once a week for such great prices.

Melanie Auld Black Onyx

In honor of the Grammy's tonight, I decided to write about one of the more glamorous pieces I've recently added to my jewelry collection this past month.  I've never heard of this designer, but came across it during one of my random shopping trips.  Definitely was an impulse buy, but it was well worth it!

This is the Melanie Auld Black Onyx Stone Earrings, and let me tell you, the black onyx stones were just captivating.  The geometric design gives them such an edgy style, and the drop earrings make the pair look even more glamorous.  Pairing the black onyx stones with the 18k gold plated brass makes it the perfect pair for an evening look.  You can even be daring and just go super casual with a tee shirt and jeans for a daytime edge.

These will definitely be loved!

OPI Russian Navy

Wanted to take a dip back into my navy blue polishes this weekend, and I found this little treasure while I was rummaging through my collection.  OPI's Russian Navy is just a beautiful navy blue that is a must in every girl's polish collection.

I believe it is in their permanent collection, making it even more amazing! It's the perfect shade of navy blue with subtle hints of micro glitters, giving it that added touch of glamour.  The finish again is amazing, because the micro glitters just catches the light beautifully, and like all OPI polishes, Russian Navy is opaque in one to two coats.

Definitely one of my favorites from their permanent line!

Essie Licorice

My favorite color to wear? Has to be black.  90% of my closet is filled with black clothes and I love it! And because I was inspired my my closet, I decided to go with a black manicure this week.

I only own one black polish, Essie's Licorice, and I am absolutely in love with it! I love dark polishes in general, but something about a clean, all black manicure just brings that added edge to your entire look.  You can find black polishes with almost any nail polish brand.  However, Essie's polish formula is one of my favorites.

Essie's Licorice is a clean, creamy black polish that is opaque in with two thin coats.  THe formula is perfection and the finish is beautiful.  Although my manicure is not exactly the best today, I love black polishes with a shorter manicure.

OPI Lincoln Park At Midnight

An oldie, but goodie.  I decided to show a little more love for one of my old OPI favorites a few weeks ago, Lincoln Park At Midnight.  I had purchased this one, along with it's counterpart, Lincoln Park After Dark a long while ago and it had quickly became one of my favorites.

Like Lincoln Park After Dark, this polish has a deep purple undertone.  The only difference between the two is that this one, Lincoln Park At Midnight has a more obvious, almost metallic like, purple undertone.  Whereas Lincoln Park After Dark has more of a black/purple tone.

This is definitely one of OPI's more well known polishes in their permanent collection.  I had a few people point it out while I had it on and knew the shade immediately.

Like all of their other polishes in their permanent collection, OPI's Lincoln Park At Midnight has a beautiful finish to it with great wear.  Definitely a cult favorite.

Rebecca Minkoff Hudson Moto

For the past year and a half now, Rebecca Minkoff has slowly become one of my favorite designer handbags.  If I had to describe my style, I would have to say that it's a combination of classic and edgy at the same time.  And I think Rebecca Minkoff does the classic, edgy style perfectly.  I absolutely love my Rebecca Minkoff Mini Mac bag, and honestly wish I can afford having on it every color.  However, when I saw their latest design, I just couldn't keep away.

Rebecca Minkoff introduced their latest bag, the Hudson Moto, I think almost a year ago.  And it is absolutely beautiful.  I have no idea why I was just so drawn to it, but the structure and functionality of the Hudson Moto bags make it the absolutely perfect, every day bag for any girl.

Now, even though I came across the Hudson Moto bags months ago, I couldn't justify buying them at full price.  I guess I've just turned into that bargain hunter shopper.  That's why I absolutely love websites like Gilt.com.  It gives people like me (who are into designer brands but not designer prices) the chance to snag awesome deals and quality products.

So when I spotted these Rebecca Minkoff Hudson Moto bags on their site, I did not waste any opportunity to pick up not just one, but two of the handbags.  Did I need two? No.  Did I want two? Absolutely! For the price they were going at I definitely could not pass up the deal.  Especially when choosing between the two colors became extremely difficult for me.

The first, the Rebecca Minkoff Hudson Mini Moto.  The Hudson Moto Mini retails at around $270, but Gilt.com had them priced at $169.  I immediately dropped this in my shopping cart.  The tawny, nude color just works so well as an every day bag for me.  And even though this is the mini version, it still has plenty of space and pockets to carry everything I need.

My extra splurge on this purchase was definitely this full size, wine colored Hudson Moto.  Originally retailed at $365, I purchased it on Gilt.com for $220.  I wasn't able to resist the beautiful color, and thought it would carry so well into the spring season.  Now this is definitely a bit bigger than the mini Hudson Moto, however, even with my petite size, it works well for me.

The quality and structure of these Hudson Moto bags are impeccable, and I am definitely glad I finally got my hands on them for such an amazing price.

Schick Hydro Silk Razor

I have always been a loyal Venus razor user.  Ever since I started shaving my legs, I can't think of any other brand of razors I would purchase because Venus had a great reputation.  However, I had recently purchased a value pack of shaving cream, and with that value pack came a free Schick Hydro Silk Razor.  I absolutely love purchasing things in value packs because things like this happen, where you get to try out a product for free.

I didn't think there would be much of a difference while trying out a new razor, because a razor is just razor to me.  However, after shaving with the Schick Hydro Silk razor a few times, there is a bit of a difference between the Schick and Venus razor.

The process of shaving your legs with the Schick razor is exactly the same as the Venus.  Both razors glides smoothly against your skin and gets the job done.  However, I noticed that I was able to shave with the Schick Hydro Silk razor without using any shaving cream (making it a quicker process).  Even without the shaving cream, I was still able to get a close shave and my legs felt moisturized.

I always find myself having to use shaving cream with my Venus razor, which isn't a big deal because I don't mind having to use shaving cream.  However, I think the Schick Hydro Silk razor will now be my go to traveling razor because I can skip packing the shaving cream.

Overall, I love both the Schick and Venus razors.  However, if you want that added boost of moisture, I would recommend the Schick Hydro Silk.

Abercrombie and Fitch Jeans

Finding the perfect jeans for your fit and built takes a lot of time.  It's a trial and error process really.  I like to think of it as a relationship, but with your jeans.  You just have to try on a few to find the right one.

I use to hate jeans, just absolutely hated wearing them.  I thought they looked bad and were just too restricting (sweats are my best friends).  However, I recently realized that I was just buying them in the wrong fit and size.  I am on the shorter side (coming in at only 5'0" tall) and kind of have an athlete's build, with calves and a behind.  So finding a pair of jeans that fits my waist, along with my rear was a bit difficult.

But I am now in love.  I decided to stop by Abercrombie and Fitch one day to take a dive and try on their jeans.  And little did I know that they worked perfectly for me! I absolutely love their boot cut and skinny jeans (and their jeggings are also amazing)!

They have a nice stretch to them, so they are comfortable to wear all day long.  And what's even better is that they come in three different lengths, making life for a short girl that much easier.

Now I know the prices on Abercrombie and Fitch jeans are a bit steep, however, you can find promotions online and in stores almost every month.  So when I find a promotion I usually take the opportunity to stock up on my favorite cuts and styles.

Rx Smart Gear

Now I know I mainly focus on beauty and fashion related topics, but I just thought I had to share this item with all of my readers.  With the New Year comes a whole bunch of New Year Resolutions.  Having resolutions are fantastic, but usually keeping up with them throughout the year is easier said than done.  So how am I going to keep up with my health kick resolutions? By making investments.

When I have invested in a membership and invested in good quality gear, I amp myself up and find it more motivating to keep moving.  So along with my CrossFit membership, I picked up a training jump rope that was customized for me.  This makes it a little more pricey than the average rope you find in stores.  However, because it's personalized for my height, and I spent a bit more on it, it motivates me to use it more and more.

The Rx Smart Gear jump ropes are one of the highest quality jump ropes I've ever found.  There are so many training ropes out there, but after talking to my coaches and testing out a few other brands, I find that the Rx Smart Gear rope suits me best.  They also come in different resistance levels, really catering to beginners as well as advanced jump rope levels.  The design on them is pretty amazing.  There's a built in swivel axis attachment that allows the person using the jump rope to control their speed better, giving you a more controlled timing on your jumps.  The handles give you a nice grip and really fits in your hands comfortably (even with small hands like mine).  And the best part? Each rope is custom measured to match your height, so you won't have to do the extra work of measuring it out and re-sizing the rope yourself.

They come in an assortment of colors and designs.  However, I like the sleek look of an my black ops handle with a black cable.

You can find their products here: http://www.rxsmartgear.com/jump-ropes/

A lot of people may say "it's a jump rope, just go outside and run."  Well, one of the key things I've learned after the few months of training I've been doing is variety.  Changing up your workouts and getting out of routines keeps you more interested.  So changing up my cardio options from running to rowing to jump roping, will definitely keep my body in shape and my workouts more interesting.

It's The Little Things

Sometimes, keeping it small and simple is the best way to go.  I know statement necklaces are the talk of the season and will continue to be a huge trend in the fashion industry, however, sometimes it's nice to look at the little things.  These two necklaces were my absolute favorite gifts that I had received for my birthday last November, and they really came from the heart.

The first of the two being a Barneys New York initial necklace that was given to me by two pretty awesome friends.  I have no clue how they knew, but I've been wanting a little initial necklace for a little over a year now but wasn't able to find one the right size.  Made with 18k gold, this dainty initial necklace sits perfectly on my neckline and can be layered with my other charms and necklaces.

I have been pairing my initial necklace with this Jared's birthstone necklace that was given to me by my best friend.  This citrine stone represents November, and is just beautiful!  It's small, but the gemstone packs a lot of impact.

These two worn together just represents me, making them a very special pairing.
