Brand In Review: OPI

OPI has to be my largest selection from my entire nail polish collection.  I honestly didn't realize how many OPI polishes I owned until I took them all out to snap this picture.

I just can't help it when it comes to OPI.  My collection started with OPI, and it just quickly accumulated with all of their limited edition collections from the past 3-4 years.  They come up with some pretty cool seasonal collections, and a few of my favorites were their glitters that came out a little over a year ago.

Top: My Private Jet, Birthday Babe, Schnapps Out Of It, Designer...De Better!, My Very First Knockwurst, Don't Pretzel My Buttons, Lucerne-tainly Look Marvelous, Russian Navy,
Bottom: Berlin there Done That, Lincoln Park At Midnight, Suzi and the 7 Dusseldorfs, Nein! Nein! Nein! OK Fine!, Suzi Ski's in the Pyrennes, Alpine Snow, Suzi Says Feng Shui, Do You Lilac It?

Top: Warm and Fozzie, You Don't Know Jacques, Every Month is Okoberfest, Mermaids Tears, Don't Talk Bach To Me, Deutsch You Want Me Baby?, Unfor-greata-bly Blue, Your Royal Shineness
Middle: Brisbane Bronze, Danke-shiny Red, Glitzerland, Panda-monium Pink, Color So Hot It Bernes, Light My Sapphire, Vodka and Caviar, French Quarter For Your Thoughts
Bottom: The Thrill of Brazil, Quarter of a Cent-Cherry, Hot and Spicy, Germanicure by OPI

Top: Divine Swine, How's It's Snowin', Fresh Frogs of Belair, Gone Gonzo!
Bottom: Gettin' Miss Piggy With It, A Sparkle Yule Love, Excuse Moi!

I have to give it to OPI for being the most creative brand when it comes to the names of all of their polishes.  Whoever has the duty of coming up with all of these amazing names must have a lot of fun with their job!  Just typing all of these out were exhausting!

It's really hard to pick out a favorite from all of the OPI polishes I own.  But the standouts when it comes to OPI polishes has to be their selection of red polishes.  They have so many classic shades of red to choose from, you're bound to find the perfect one for you!  Some of my favorite reds from OPI are the classic Quarter Of A Cent-Cherry (which will always be my favorite) and Vodka and Caviar.

OPI is definitely a brand that has lived up to their reputation and history for amazing polishes.

Essie Berry Naughty

In the Valentine's Day spirit, I decided to go with a red polish for the upcoming weekend.  Valentine's Day is tomorrow, and although I don't have special plans, I thought I'd still wear a splash of red.  Red is one of my favorite colors to wear because it compliments my skin tone so beautifully, so any reason to wear it is good to me.

For this weekend, I went with Essie's Berry Naughty, which is a more cranberry shade of red, instead of a true red.  Deeper reds and wine colored polishes are my absolute favorites to wear.  It gives it that sexy, chic look to your nails.

I am absolutely in love with Essie's Berry Naughty.  First of all, the name, love the name of it! And of course the formula, consistency, and application are all fantastic as well.  The color just wears so beautiful and I have a feeling I am going to be obsessed with this shade for the remainder of February.

Brand In Review: Essie

The brand on spotlight today has to be one of my top choices for nail polishes, and that is Essie.  Overall, Essie has continued to impress me with their formula and color range.  Their permanent collection is filled with some of my favorite polishes that are not only beautiful, but long lasting.

Top: Blue Rhapsody, Case Study, Candy, Sand Tropez, Fear or Desire, Brooch the Subject, Mink Muffs, Smokin' Hot
Middle: Sew Psyched, Coat Azure, Steeling the Scene, Nothing Else Metals, Over the Top, In Stitches, Power Clutch, Midnight Cami
Bottom: Penny Talk, Miss Fancy Pants, Barbados Blue, Berry Naughty, No Place Like Chrome, Marshmallow, Licorice

A few stand out polishes from my Essie collection include Berry Naughty (one of my newer additions), Barbados Blue, Sand Tropez, and Licorice.  What I really enjoy about Essie overall is their brush.  It's a nice, small brush that really works for every nail size and distributes the polish so well.

I am definitely devoted tot he brand, and look forward to finding more shades to fall in love with!

Brand In Review: Zoya

Where do I go for the best selection of creamy nail polishes? It has to be Zoya of course! I don't know how they do it, but I am constantly impressed with their cream nail polishes.  Not only is the formula so rich, but they are consistent from shade to shade and just continue to amaze me.  It also helps that they have a variety of unique colors in their collection.

Top: Marley, Poppy, Dulcinea, Lulu, Jules, Anne, Gemme
Middle: Melanie, Pandora, Mia, Kristen, Dove, Caitlin, Pippa
Bottom: Creamy, Megan, Minka, Shay, Carey, Willow

Some of my stand out Zoya polishes are Pippa, Dove, Marley, and Jules.  I absolutely love the naming system they have for their colors (keeping them short and sweet) and it also helps that the bottles are so cute!  You can also often find the polishes on promotion, making them even more desirable!

Degree Dry Protection

I love finding deals and buying products in value packs.  What a better way o save than to get more for less money? When it comes to products that I know I will always use and will always need to re-stock on, finding value packs is a must.

I was looking to re-stock on my deodorant, and of course the best place for me to do that is to go to my local Sam's Club.  Stores such as Sam's Club and Costco are great places to pick up the usual products for discounted prices.  Recently, I picked up this Degree Dry Protection value pack.  In stores, each individual deodorant is priced at around $4/tube.  But at Sam's Club, I was able to pick up three full sized tubes along with one deluxe sized tube for a total of $9! Definitely a deal that I could not pass up.

What's even better is that I did not have to settle for the brand of deodorant.  Along with Secret, Degree Dry Protection is one of my top brands for ultimate, all day protection.  It keeps me feeling fresh all day (especially after a long session of Crossfit), and doesn't irritate my skin.  What I love even more is that it doesn't have the fruity, girly smell.  It gives off more of a refreshing and clean smell, which I can tolerate more.

Definitely can't pass up savings like this!

Essie Midnight Cami

Continuing my current obsession for navy blue nail polishes, I decided to dip my fingers into Essie's Midnight Cami (one of my newest additions to my collection).

Like most of Essie's polishes, Midnight Cami does not disappoint when it comes to pigmentation.  It's a true, inky blue that is just captivating on the nails.  With just one to two thin coats, you get a beautiful, even finish that wears incredibly well.  And the best part? It doesn't stain my nails!

Compared to all of my other navy blue polishes, Midnight Cami stands out as being a true, dark inky blue with a clean finish.  There are no shimmers present, making it a real professional polish that works for the office.  I find the deep color very chic on shorter manicures.  Definitely one of my newer obsessions that is going to carry on well into February!
