Maybelline Baby Lips Moisturizing Balm

A while ago I received my giveaway prize package from Daniela here on luuux.com, and in the package she was lovely enough to include one of the Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balm in the shade Cherry me.

I believe this is a new drugstore product (not 100% sure), but I certainly have not tried these before and I seriously can't have enough of lip balms (especially if they are tinted).

Cherry me is a brighter red lip balm that smells exactly like cherries (hence the name).  The smell is so strong of cherries, so if you don't like cherries I would stay away from these.  They remind me of the Lip Smackers I use to be obsessed with in grade school.

The Maybelline Baby Lips are suppose to give you 8 hours of hydration to your lips, with the protection of SPF 20.  Basically the advertisement is to promote lips as healthy and soft as the lips of babies.

I don't know about the treatment of having newer and better lips in the 4 weeks that they claim, but these are incredibly moisturizing.  They do not last the claimed 8 hours, but I don't mind reapplying these throughout the day since I do drink a lot of water, therefore my lip balm always wears away quicker.

The color is quite sheer (nothing compared to the Revlon Lip butters), but it gives the lips a more natural and wearable tint.

I'm not dying over these Baby Lips tinted balms, however I think they work well for what it is and the price (much more affordable than my favorite Fresh Sugar lip tints).
